The Upper School
Following a sound grounding in the Lower School pupils enjoy a wide curriculum designed to develop a love of learning. The school's approach becomes more "formal" in the traditional sense, and the curriculum has become subject based. The use of subject specialist teaching enables all pupils to benefit from expert tuition in all subjects. Specialist teaching rooms for art, technology, science and craft as well as ICT, dance and music are set aside to give the pupils the facilities needed to take these subjects to an advanced level. To complement the focused learning programme pupils are offered "after-school" support to prepare for external examinations at aged eleven. Oxford House prides itself in achieving a high success rate in both private and state selective schools.
