FIII & FIV trip to Colchester Zoo

Form III and IV pupils had a fabulous day at Colchester Zoo on Wednesday as part of their science topics. FIII pupils learned which adaptations animals have and why are they useful. As part of the activities, they decided which costumes volunteers dressed up in to demonstrate the major characteristics of Predators, Prey, and adaptations to live in Hot and Cold places. FIV pupils had the chance to explore and investigate a wide selection of animal artefacts (including real furs, feathers, and reptile scales) and learned about historic classification methods, and the taxon groups used by scientists today. Pictures from the day can be viewed on the website under Latest News.
