Forms I & II pupils explore the outdoors

Pupils in Forms I & II enjoyed an action-packed day at Abberton reservoir today. Each class had a full timetable of activities including pond dipping, minibeasts hunt, season walks, identifying sights and sounds of spring, plant identification and a pollination game. These workshops reinforced the children’s science topics of habitats and plant life, bringing the subjects to life in fabulous surroundings. The children behaved beautifully throughout the day and were amazed at the wildlife found on the nature reserve. The highlight for Form I was a shrew that leapt out on their bug hunt and ran right across their activity!
