NII pupils learn about Seasonal Changes

Although it is not winter yet, the weather is getting colder. Today Nursery II pupils went outside and were encouraged to describe the weather – is it warm, sunny, cold, windy? The children were asked to touch their faces. How did their faces and hands feel outside? I had many replies, including – cold, chilly, freezing and warm. Pupils were asked to look for signs of Autumn. They found a tree that was nearly bare of leaves and many colourful leaves on the ground. The children then had great fun kicking in the leaves and throwing them into the air. They ended their outside session with some vigorous exercise to get their hearts beating faster.
